Badrinath and Kedarnath tour package by helicopter starts from the helipad located at Sahastradhara in Dehradun.

The yatris have to reach at the Sahastradhara helipad early in the morning.At the helipad, a passenger manifest is filled in which the details of the passengers is noted.
Thereafter, the passengers board the helicopter. In a few minutes the pilot sets on the rotors of the helicopter and in no time the helicopter soars in the air.
The huge buildings start becoming small miniature toy buildings as the helicopter gains height.
In about 15 minutes after the takeoff, the passengers are greeted by the scenic views of Tehri Dam.

After flying at an altitude of about 10,000 feet above mean sea level, the helicopter turns towards the Mandakini valley. One is greeted by the green slopes of Guptkashi. The terraced green fields, rooftops of the houses and meandering narrow roads are a visual treat for the passengers.

After a few minutes, you would land at the Guptkashi or Phata helipad. In fact the entire road connecting Guptkashi with Gaurikund is dotted with helipads.

Upon arrival at Guptkashi or Phata Helipad, as the case may be, you would be transferred from your charter helicopter to another helicopter known as the shuttle helicopter. You would also be provided priority Darshan slips for quick darshan at the Kedarnath Shrine.

– Way from Kedarnath Helipad to Kedarnath Temple
While the Yatra starts in the month of May and continues till late october, the best time to visit Kedarnath by helicopter is in the last week of September or the first three weeks of October.
During these months, the weather is mostly clear and there is no disruption in the flying. Further, there is no rush of pilgrims and thus one can have excellent darshan at the Temple.

After darshan at Kedarnath Temple, return back to helipad at Kedarnath and fly back to Phata/Guptkashi.
Upon arrival, board your charter helicopter and fly to Badrinath.
The flying time between Phata to Badrinath is about 35 minutes. As the helicopter soars in sky, you would be able to see the snow clad peaks of Kedarnath and Chowkhamba on your left.
A little further, you would be flying over the beautiful meadows of Chopta.The scenic beauty of the mountains would be such that you would be motivated to click pictures of the lofty mountains.

After flying for about 35 minutes, the helicopter shall land at Shri Badrinath Helipad.

Badrinath Helipad is located at an altitude of about 11,000 feet above mean sea level.
To begin with, our representative shall receive you at Badrinath helipad and drive you to almost 100 meters short of Badrinath Temple.
He would then escort you to Shri Badrinath Temple for VIP Darshan. You would not be required to stand in que and would enter the temple from a rear entrance.
Thereafter, you would sit just outside the main sanctum sanctorum and have the darshan of idols of Lord Badrinath, Garud, Uddhav, Nar, Narayan and Kuber.

After Darshan at temple, our representative shall drop you at the Helipad from where you would fly back to Dehradun.
